The central Vancouver Island area has nine golf courses, eight of which are open year round. The golf course facilities range from deluxe championship courses complete with full service clubhouse, restaurant and lounge to Par 3 courses, great for a quick afternoon outing. Within walking distance to Pacific Playgrounds is Saratoga Beach Golf Course, a challenging nine hole executive course, putting green and driving range. Many of the courses offer spectacular views of Beaufort mountains and Strait of Georgia ocean views and some even come populated with blacktail deer, bald eagles and canada geese. Best of all, with Vancouver Island's climate, it's possible to golf, ski and fish all in the same day!
